The Bohler DC crew recently took a break from their everyday duties to participate in a meaningful cause - the Anacostia Watershed Stream Clean Up. The Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) organizes this yearly event, which demonstrates the power of community engagement and environmental management.
The Anacostia River Earth Day Cleanup, founded in 1985 by DC native Howard Gasaway of the Seafarers Yacht Club, has become AWS's flagship volunteer project. It has grown to be one of the region's largest single-day volunteer activities, attracting thousands of volunteers from across the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia).
This year, Bohler DC eagerly joined the ranks of passionate volunteers dedicated to preserving the Anacostia River and its surrounding watershed. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a shared commitment to environmental conservation, the team set out to clean up riverbanks and waterways throughout the region.
Participating in the Anacostia Watershed Stream Clean Up is more than just a one-time event for Bohler DC; it reflects our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability. By actively engaging in initiatives like this, the company demonstrates its dedication to making a positive impact beyond the office.
