Akridge, Corporate Office Properties Trust, and the Argos Group—the development team behind the new luxury office space 2100 L—joined forces to create a unique, sustainable office space in DC's central business district. In addition to developing a LEED Platinum building, the team wanted to make a difference in the community as well.
As part of the project, the historic Thaddeus Stevens School façade was revitalized. Then, taking their support a step further, the team endowed a scholarship program to the school to teach children about real estate and development, along with a commemorative art piece, and an art gallery.
The 190,000-SF building offers tenants spacious offices, high ceilings, and a host of amenities including rooftop spaces, a fitness center, and a penthouse conference room. Bohler DC provided site civil engineering, surveying, and permitting services for the project.
