Sara Link, Project Manager in Washington, D.C., was recently celebrated as a Rising Star recipient at Bisnow’s DMV Women Leading Real Estate awards for 2023.
The award spotlights women who have been in the industry for less than 10 years and have made a significant impact on the market and/or have largely contributed to a major commercial real estate project. For Bisnow’s second annual DMV Women Leading Real Estate awards, a four-person nominations committee selected 30 honorees across brokerages, financial institutions, development companies, law firms, and more.
Bisnow recognized Sara for her work on a variety of transformative projects in the DMV region including Union Market, the Ballpark District, Buzzard Point, and Skyland Town Center. Collectively, these projects have provided thousands of residential units to the district, thousands of linear feet of infrastructure, and countless community benefits. As Project Manager for these developments, Sara drives the site design and permitting forward, regularly meeting with DC agency staff, developers, and the community to obtain approvals.
As a team leader, Sara is focused on creating a positive, safe space where people feel empowered to succeed and grow to reach personal and professional goals. She seeks to understand each team member’s individual career aspirations and assigns suitable projects and tasks to challenge and inspire them.
Sara is also heavily involved in various industry organizations and committees including DCBIA Young Leaders, DCBIA-DOEE Working Group, ULI Young Leaders Group, ULI YLG Mentorship Sub-Committee and CREW. Outside of work, she participates in stream clean-ups, DCBIA Community Improvement Day, and APAH Read-a-Thon, and is passionate about animal welfare, especially dogs.
